Living in the city is so chaotic. We are put into so much stress everyday and challenge us to keep our motivation at the highest level as possible. Little do people know, while we are being molded by those challenges, our energy cycle is simultaneously dropping and significantly affects our ability to cope up which lately results on being burnt-out. Luckily, we have our salary in return that can somehow ease the tensions in our neurons. We can watch movies, go on a massage spa, divert it through savoring foods and do so much more, but at the end of the day we should ask ourselves- did we really find true happiness from the things that we've done?
I know for sure that you know how mother nature works. After all, freedom tastes the sweetest after being imprisoned by thinking too much of what might the future will bring. For now, let's take some break and I'll share my 7 most reasons why Sibale is one of the best escape routes.
1. This is the place where I first discovered that I am beautiful.
Childhood days are always hard to forget especially if you had an awesome one, right? We might not be able to specifically remember everything that had happened during our "dugyot" days, but I know for sure that our hearts will always smile and remember all crazy things we've done. That's why, every time we (with our kababata) are having some throwback sessions and in moments when we can't remember what happened, there will always be someone who will tease and insist that you've done it just like they've known all your frivolous conducts when you were young and innocent- somehow.
Don't me!!
2. Because of its Immaculate Beauty
According to Wiki, Concepcion started as a small village founded in 1570 by the Spaniards and was named after the Immaculate Concepcion. It is also known as Maestro de Campo Island (also known as Sibale to its inhabitants) which is 20 kilometres (12 mi) off the coast from Mindoro. The island's interior is jagged and forested, with caves, clear rivers, unique rock formations, and hills that offer breathtaking views. Every village has its own cove and wholesome white sand beaches ideal for swimming and scuba diving.
Hence, we should let our eyes appreciate more of the natural colors than be dazzled by the shinning and shimmering colors of the city.
3. Degree of Kinship
Literally, in our Barangay - everyone is related. You'll have your neighbors but they are really your cousins. You have your grade school teacher where you call ma'am/madam at school but Tita after the class. You buy junk food in a store and you'll get a lollipop for free because they are your pamangkin. And one thing I will never forget, all of them are your Ninong and Ninang which means you'll have to make sure that you visit everyone in the entire Barangay during Christmas (after the mass) and you'll have a bag full of candies and pockets filled with money; in addition to your satisfied tummy.
Well, there's no room for you to call yourself as stranger here as long as your kind and respectful then you'll experience a journey of a lifetime.
4. Solidarity is everyone's common language.
"Alone we can cook so little; together we can cook so much", rephrasing what Helen Keller had said but the thought is the same. So, worry no more as the entire army is at your back both in celebration and in preparation.
5. Socially fun.
Would you live for a day without sneaking on your social media accounts? A question that is so often to be asked these days since we are living and using technological advancements on our day to day lives. Facebook, Twitter and other communication technologies surely make our life easier and more fun which eventually makes the world much smaller, virtually. But this place offers a different kind of entertainment because you would need to find or go to a specific spot that has a signal for you to have an internet connection. Plus, make sure to fully charge your gadgets because electric power supply is limited and has a specific schedule of operations for the entire Barangay.
Which only means that you have more time to mingle and just have fun under the sun!
6. A place of relaxation and tranquility.
Our environment plays a significant role in finding and knowing more about ourselves. We often realize things when we are alone and we often make rightful decisions when we feel at peace. And it could have been more tranquil if you have a cup of coffee while watching the sun set and rise, even just for a couple of days.
7. Sibalenhons- the locals.
You will not just fall in love with the place but with the Sibalenhon's as well.
